10 Actors who Died Before the End of a Production

Death is never easy for anyone and over the years we have witnessed a couple of deaths to include those of celebrities.

Today, we will be listing 10 actors who before the end of the production they were working on.

Vic Morrow

Morrow was killed on the set of Twilight Zone: The Movie, back in July 1982. He was killed along with two child actors, Myca Dinh Le and Renee Chen. Reports have it that The Twilight Zone script had called for the use of both a helicopter and pyrotechnics, which is a deadly combination.

During a scene which saw Morrow being attacked by American soldiers in Vietnam, the pyrotechnics exploded, which in turn severed the helicopter’s tail causing it to crash and decapitating Morrow and killing the two child actors.

Twilight Zone: The Movie was later released in June 1983.

Brandon Lee

Brandon Lee was killed on March 31, 1993, in a stunt accident while on the set of The Crow. “Lee who is the son of ace late actor Bruce Lee, played a character who was meant to get shot in a scene. However, ‘the handgun used contained a fragment of a real bullet.”

The actor was hit in the abdomen by a projectile and passed later that day at the age of 28.

John Ritter

John collapsed while shooting the movie 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter on September 11, 2003. The actor took ill while working on the ABC series and collapsed on set. He was rushed to the hospital and had to be operated on for a tear in his aorta, a rare medical condition. The actor passed later that day.

Tyrone Power

Tyrone passed while filming the series Solomon and Sheba. The actor suffered a major heart attack while on set and died on the way to the hospital in 1958.

Redd Foxx

While filming The Royal Family (co-starring Della Reese), Foxx died of a massive heart attack. He was 68 years old at the time of his death.

Roy Kinnear

While filming the movie The Return of the Musketeers, n Spain, Kinnera fell down from a horse and sustained a broken pelvis and was taken to a hospital in Madrid. He died the following day, September 20, 1988, from a heart attack.

Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger died in 2008 of a prescription drug overdose. He was still shooting the movie Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The actor had just finished his epic role as the Joker in The Dark Knight when he lost his life.

Paul Walker

Paul Walker died in a car crash in 2015 and production on Fast and Furious 7 had to be put on hold for a while until his brother was called in to play him.

Philip Seymour Hoffman

Not long after he finished most of his scenes in The Hunger Games series, Hoffman was found dead in his New York City apartment on February 2, 2014.
