A few weeks ago, Twitter came alive with the news of a young lady by the name Adewura Bello who had gone missing on her way back from work.
According to reports, the young lady last spoke to her sister around the Cement area of Lagos and has been missing until yesterday when it was revealed that her body was discovered in a canal.
An online report had claimed the young lady and the bike she was on had fallen into a manhole during heavy rainfall on that Wednesday but Nigerians are not having it and have since taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the said story.

Everyone feels connected, even if we never knew you.
We must keep demanding that the State creates better infrastructure, transport system & better law enforcement to protect the lives of citizens against the brutish & nasty state of nature.
Your death was preventable #RIPWura

@DOlusegun Street guys stealing the manhole lids is not an excuse. Since they know it's being stolen, they should seal it permanently. Since that rain, most parts of Lagos are yet to regain electricity. How are people safe if they can't see their environment at night? #RIPWura

1. An uncovered manhole allegedly caused the death of Adewura. As usual, we all swooped into a reflex bashing of the govt for leaving manholes uncovered. @DOlusegun now brings to our attention that manholes lids are stolen by street guys almost as soon as they're placed! #RIPWura

I didn’t know her personally but I couldn’t sleep all thru last night. I kept thinking of her final moments. She was probably scared, hopeful that she would live. What was going thru her mind as the water swept her away? The horror of it all.— Nini (@lahpetite) May 27, 2019
Is it really true she mistakenly fell into the manhole while on transit on a bike, cos nobody seems to be talking about the other supposed bike man carrying her. Was he found dead too, or how do we connect this story really? This is so sad #RIPWura

@PoliceNG
Please, if this is the last things we'll do for Adewura to rest in Peace, help us work with @Twitter and find the IDIOT that used this @Iam__emoney handle to scam people on having info of her whereabout, collected money on Twitter and gave fake addresses.#RIPWura pic.twitter.com/QgEQ7poFbe

The Lagos state government cant even cover a thing as little as an Open manhole?? remember Femi Falana sued the govt for this one time and we thought he was overdoing it… now look at what that manhole has done to a young lady…. this country is not fit for humans! #RIPWura

This is purely kidnapping , possible rape& female genital mutilation and homicide. I’m not Investigator but a proper and capable police force( detectives) should be able to get to the root of this matter. Wura’s killer(s) must not go scot free. #fightforjustice #ripwura

Nigeria is a useless country. This girl's death is annoying me cause everybody will say RIP and go on like nothing happened. Once a person gets missing in Nigeria and not found with 48 hours, the person is most likely dead because Nigeria is useless. No CCTV, no nothing. 💔
