Darth Vader – Star Wars
Darth Vader stands out as the ultimate villain for his many qualities which include his iconic voice – voiced by James Earl Jones, a high sense of devotion to his master, his large body build and his well-designed costume. A hero-turned-villain, Darth Vader is notorious for torturing princesses, causing chaos across galaxies, and executing anyone who doesn’t share in his faith. It is no wonder he had such a huge impact when the Star Wars movies were released.
The Joker – The Batman Films
Batman’s arch-enemy, The Joker, is one of the most complex villains of all time. Unlike most movie villains, The Joker is not driven by ambition or the lack of it. He simply relishes in chaos and would kill anyone as long as it satisfies his evil desires. He also has a crazy sense of humour.
The Joker has been played by several A-list actors in the Batman movies. One that is worthy of mention is Heath Ledger in “Batman: The Dark Knight”. Heath Ledger as “The Joker” is simply phenomenal.
Anton Chigurh – No Country For Old Men
In simple terms, Anton Chigurh is a man without any form of conscience. Without any thought, he would stare into the eyes of his victims and put a bullet in their head. He is also known for flipping a coin to decide the fate of his victims. Anton Chigurh is one disturbing villain – calm, collected, but always orchestrating something sinister.
Hannibal Lecter – The Silence of The Lambs
Hannibal Lecter remains a memorable villain in the minds of all those who have seen him in action due to his charm, intelligence, and poise. Yet, these same people hate him for the outrageous fact that he eats humans. One can describe Hannibal Lecter as one of those villains that we love to hate but at the same time hate to love. He is a psychopath who can mess with the mind of anyone including his captors. Hannibal Lecter remains one of the most clever villains of all time.
