As the international break comes to an end today, the English Premier League action will continue by weekend and we just can’t wait for it. On whether the players will return firing on all cylinders or a little sluggish due to fatigue, we’d have to wait and see.   1. Sergio Aguero – 24 seconds

On the 29th of January, 2019, Sergio Aguero opened the scoring for Manchester City against Newcastle after just 24 seconds into the match. Although, City later went on to lose the match, the goal remains the fastest goal scored this season.

A week after that, Aguero was on target again. This time it was against Arsenal and timed at the 46 second mark. Manchester City, however, made no mistake this time and won the game by 3 goals to 1.

  1. Mathias Jørgensen – 55 seconds

December 1st, 2018 saw Huddersfield star, Mathias Jørgensen find the back of the net after just 54 seconds into their match against Brighton. Huddersfield could not keep up the momentum and eventually ended up losing the match.

  1. Andre Gray – 87 seconds

In Watford’s match against Fulham on September 22, 2018, Andre Gray netted a goal after only 87 seconds. Fulham then went on to equalize later and the game ended in a stalemate.

  1. Leroy Sane – 90 seconds

Another Manchester City player makes the list in the person of Leroy Sane. The prolific winger found the back of the net 90 seconds into City’s match against Fulham on 15th September 2018. The reigning champions then won the game 3-0.

  1. Yerry Mina – 99 seconds

Boxing day last year saw the EPL match between Everton and Burnley. On loan defender (from Barcelona), Yerry Mina then stole all the headlines when he scored the first goal of the match barely 99 seconds after kick-off. Everton then trumped Burnley to end the match with a 5-1 victory.

  1. André Schürrle  – 109 seconds

Fulham found themselves on the giving end of a quick fire goal this time in their match against Burnley on the 12th of January, 2019. André Schürrle put the London based club ahead after just 109 seconds into the match. They however lost the match 2-1.
