1. You’d be surprised to know that dogs don’t feel guilt. They are only submissive and may look ashamed when confronted by their masters.
2. The tallest dog ever was a Great Dane named Zeus. The dog was 44 inches tall on October 4th 2011 and is the current Guinness World Record holder.

4. Cheetahs may be the fastest land animals in the world but one breed of dogs, the Greyhound, can actually beat them in a long distance race. Greyhounds have excellent stamina and can maintain a speed of up to 35 mph for up to 7 miles.
5. The Saluki holds the Guiness World Record for being the oldest dog breed in the world. This breed dates back to 329 BC and are believed to have been pets in ancient Egypt.
6. One of the qualities that make dogs unique is their ability to wag their tails. The tail wagging can mean either of two things: dogs wag their tails to the right when they feel happy, but to the left when they feel anxious.
7. The African Hunting Dog is the world’s most efficient land hunters.They hold the Guiness World Record for it because about 50-70 % of their hunts are successful.
8. The average dog is as smart as a two-year-old child. They are capable of counting up to five and can understand up to 250 words and gestures.
