The 9 Kinds of People You Meet At The Cinemas. See Them

It is always better to have a movie experience a cinema for the love of the big screen and the sound effect, accompanied by popcorn and drinks. There is also the thrill of enjoying it with the people that come to have the same experience as you. But how well do you know these people and how much can you tolerate?

See a list of your favourite companions below.

The Love Birds

You’re sure to always meet the love birds anytime you visit the cinema. This couple will have you wondering if they are actually following the movie as most of the time, they’re focused on themselves and whispering sweet nothings into their ears.  If you’re not careful, you may get distracted and start admiring them, missing your own Bae or wishing you were in a relationship yourself.

The Commentator

The commentators talk so much that you would think they were actually hired to speak about the film. For every scene, they are always cracking jokes and screaming lines at the screen. Try not to be caught near the commentators.

The Ones Who Ask Jamb Question

If you encounter these ones eh, you’ll forget you’re in the cinemas and start thinking you’re in the examination hall writing JAMB. These ones will ask you all kinds of question including the ones the director of the film does not know. The good thing about them is that they’re never alone. They are always accompanied by their friends who know a thing or two about movies and are willing to answer questions.

The Late Comer

These ones know they are late but they must draw attention to themselves before getting to their seats. It is as if they know they’ve missed part of the film so they want to punish other people by disturbing their peace. They don’t mind making noise with their shoes and kicking through chairs until they get to their seats. And when they finally do, people can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

The Foodies

These ones can’t understand why they have to eat only popcorn/shawarma/hotdog and drink coke. They must come along with legit fast food delicacies. Some are so extra that they don’t mind bringing their traditional delicacies.

The Screamers

The screamers take pleasure in reacting to a movie fearfully whether it was the 1st time they saw the beast in “Beauty And The Beast” or a simple romance scene. These ones are scaredy cats by default and should never sit at the edge less they fall. Next time you meet these ones, please show love for you do not know what they are passing through.

The Ones Who Are On A Mission To Spoil The Film

Beware dear movie lovers! These set of people are the worst. They come with only one mission and one mission only: to spoil your experience of watching the movie. They may not have watched the movie but they are so good at guessing what will happen next that they ruin all the surprise for you. They are always forming “I know what will happen next”.  Ogbeni did we ask you?!

The Phone Junkies

The phone junkies spend so much time with their phones that you begin to wonder why they paid for a movie ticket in the first place. They are either calling or texting throughout or for a long time during the movie. And the brightness of their phones are enough to light up the whole cinema.

The Ones Who Just Want To Enjoy A Movie

Whenever you meet these ones, hold them tight! These are the best guys to meet at the cinemas. They know when to pass a comment and when to keep mute. Their conversations about the film will be interesting and they will make your film watching experience worthwhile.
