‘Black Panther’ has made history by emerging the first superhero movie to get nominated for the ‘Best Picture’ category of the prestigious Oscar award.

‘Black Panther’ was nominated for six other categories; best costume design, best sound mixing, best original song, best production design, best original score, and best sound editing.

Only seen two of the movies. I thought A Star Was Born was tremendous. Black Panther just seemed like other superhero movies. Different characters but same tired storyline. Want to see Roma and Vice.

I enjoyed Black Panther and I’m fully aware of its cultural significance, but I think there’s something really shallow and manipulative about giving it this nomination. I can’t help but feel this was just a pr move to get people interested in the award show again.
