OMG!!! Is World Record Egg Dying?

Earlier this month, a picture of an egg was posted on Instagram by the handle @world_record_egg, seeking to break the world record of the most liked posts on IG.

Now although we still do not understand why, but people jumped on the post.

Using different hashtags like #LikeThe Egg #EggSoldiers #EggGang #WorldRecordEgg #TheEgg, the post got massive worldwide promotions, started a trend – several trends in fact, and gathered almost 50 million likes to smash the previous record of 18 million (held by Kylie Jenner) by a distance and then some!

Just as the world started recovering from the initial #TheEgg Fever, there has been an update!

Yesterday, @world_record_egg posted a new picture of our favorite egg which showed a little crack on it. The post already has over 6 million likes.
