Beyonce Features A Good Number Of Nigerian Artists On Her New Album
For the first time in history, we saw a mass collaboration between a foreign act and various African artists. American award-winning singer, Beyonce, deemed it fit to feature several Nigerian artists and other African acts on her album, The Lion King: The Gift. The Nigerian artists on the album include Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Tekno, and Mr. Eazi. As expected, the album had done quite well that one of its tracks, Brown Skin Girl, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 76.
Davido Becomes First Nigerian With 500 Million Views On Youtube
Davido’s success on Youtube didn’t begin today. First, his hit single “Fall” became the most viewed Nigerian song on Youtube in 2018. His 2018 love song “Assurance” was the fastest trending music video on Youtube in 2018.
On top of that, he recently became the most viewed artist on Youtube with a total of 1.6 million subscribers.
Burna Boy on Jimmy Kimmel
Burna Boy has been making great strides in his career lately and we are here for it. As part of the efforts to promote his new album, African Giant, the singer appeared on the late-night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live. He appeared alongside Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie who were there to promote their new movie, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.’ At the show, he gave a stellar performance of his hit single “Anybody”. A Davido And Chris Brown Collabo
When news came that Davido and Chrisbrown were collaborating on a new song, no one was expecting it. The song, “Blow My Mind”, which was released a few days ago, has amassed so many views from fans around the world. On the collabo, Dvavio took to Instagram to write, “My brother danced in the cold rain for me !!!!!!! BLOW MY MIND OUT NOW!!! Link in bio!!” The director of the “Blow My Mind” video also had a lot to say:
“I’m so happy and blessed right now, not only did I get to capture the legend chris brown I got to witness and capture him doing it for Lil Saint by dancing in the rain?!?!
