A Nigerian Twitter user has sparked a debate online after he shared his thoughts on domestic abuse adding that Nigerian parents should welcome their kids back instead of pushing them away.
He tweeted;
Dear Parents, Please teach your daughters that returning home from an abusive marriage is far better than returning home in a coffin.
His tweet has since generated a debate online and many have since bared their thoughts on this.

That's for parents who aren't already in the societal trap of "what will people say". Parents these days are more conscious of their reputation that their child's well-being.

Like I said, there is some measure of protection around family members. I have a friend in a similar situation. The guy kept hunting her till he snatched their son. She later moved in with her mum, and that wall of the in-laws has been useful in keeping the violent fellow at bay.
