Meet Nigerian Actresses Who Studied Abroad

The actress who bagged a diploma in “physical theatre, musical theatre and performing arts” from City College Coventry in 2004, also graduated with first-class honors from the  University of Wolverhampton. She studied drama and performance art. The actress in an IG post, revealed how she was once unable to pay her fees.

“Today, I’m grateful for my university education. I remember how my mum and I would sit and wonder how we’d pay my university fees every single year. It’s amazing how God took me from that, to being celebrated and painted on the wall by the same university that we could barely afford. It may look hard right now but hang in there, there’s nothing God cannot do. It will end in praise but remember to put in the work”.

Falz

The rapper/actor is one of the few acts who had the opportunity of studying abroad. Falz snagged a degree in Law from the  University of Reading England.

Chika Ike

The Nollywood filmmaker graduated from Harvard Business School some months back revealing it was one of her dreams. Sharing her certificate on IG, Ike wrote

“was super excited when I got accepted into Harvard business school not just because I tried for five years but I wanted to learn the skill set to run a sustainable company. Harvard has transformed me totally and given me a different perspective of the business world and the skill set to tackle business problems. It was an intense 8 months program, Juggling my businesses and studying wasn’t the easiest thing.

“But thanks for the support of my awesome Living group, my coach ,Pld25 peers, all the professors and administrative team. Change is very uncomfortable, stretching out of your comfort zone is uncomfortable, you’ll question and doubt yourself severally. But it’s ok to be vulnerable when situation presents itself. There is strength in Vulnerability. Embrace your fears, leave your comfort zone and keep stretching yourself. Never give up. Love you.”

Zainab Balogun

The actress who gained major prominence with her role in the hit movie Wedding Party, bagged a degree in Law from the University of Kent in Medway.

Weruche Opia

This UK-based Nigerian actress has continued to entertain her teeming fans with her beautiful personality and downright great acting skill. Opia has a Bachelor Degree from the University of The West of England. She studied Drama and Sociology
