One of the World’s biggest professional social networks, LinkedIn has added a brand new feature to its platform. LinkedIn will now give users the opportunity to stream videos live with its new video tool called ‘LinkedIn Live’.
This comes after the platform had launched its original video tools in the spring of 2017. LinkedIn Live is a follow up of the video Sponsored Content and video for Company pages which was launched on the platform early last year.
With LinkedIn Live, business users and regular members of the app will be able to share live feeds from conferences and seminars, conduct live question and answer sessions, make live new product announcements and many more.
For now, this live streaming tool will only be available in the United States, and will be possible only through invites. However, we believe that the option will very soon be made available to all other LinkedIn members, worldwide.
This upgrade is the next sensible step for LinkedIn and it comes just after the platform, earlier this year, announced hitting a new membership record of an incredible 610 million registered members.
