Premium professional networking app, LinkedIn has released new tool that focus on helping job seekers find suitable newly advertised jobs. The new tools would help to inform users who are actively seeking for jobs about new advertised job openings and provide more info on the skills needed for these positions.
The first of the new tools is the new mobile push alert. This option offers immediate mobile notifications on new job openings for job seekers in their related fields. Members interested in this notification setting can activate it by ticking that they are actively searching for job in their career interests dashboard and making sure that their mobile notification are on.
LinkedIn also added the “Job Title Highlights” tool which will give it users more insight on specific job roles, including your connections working in the same role, top skill possessed by other people working in the same position, etc. These insights will be listed on the search page for a particular job title.
To see these insights;
Go to the search bar on your LinkedIn desktop and type in the particular job title
The insights will appear in a new module on the right side of the page once the search results are complete. Please note that the insights will not show if you click anything from the drop-down men before the search.
Lastly, the professional networking platform has added a new feature that offers users more ways to boost their professional skills. LinkedIn does this by providing relevant LinkedIn Learning courses when search searching for specific jobs.
With these new tools, the platform helps job seeker get more direction with their job searches. It also helps to provide more knowledge as to what skill they need to acquire to take their careers to the next stage.
