Have you ever had a dream that later came true? Or you experienced something that you think has happened before in the same exact manner (“Déjà Vu“)? Or you met somebody that accurately predicted the future? All these scenarios are coincidences that are hard to explain. Even scientists find it hard coming up with explanations for such occurrences.
Throughout history, several of such coincidences have taken place in real life. While we may not be aware of some of them, here are the most popular ones around the world that will leave you confused.
You probably know Jennifer Lawrence, the actress who is known for her stirring performance in “The Hunger Games”*. But have you heard about Zubaida Tharwat, an Egyptian movie, stage, and television star. Looking at the picture above, it’s easy to see that both actresses share a striking resemblance. Like, they could both be doppelgangers! Their eyes are also eerily similar! Not only does Lawrence have an uncanny resemblance with the Egyptian actress, but they also have similar careers. What a coincidence, isn’t it?
A Prediction of The Titanic
The titanic still stands outs as one of the most tragic occurrences in history. But did you know that in 1898, 14 years before the sinking of the titanic, a fantasy novel titled, Futility, told the tale of a ship that sank- and which bears the name Titan. It’s not just the names that we can see an eerie coincidence. But both the fictional and real ship were described as “unsinkable”, had the same technical features, both struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic, and lacked a sufficient amounts of lifeboats. We guess this is just one of those things we will never understand.
Two neighbours living in two centuries
George Handel, a famous composer, was a neighbour of a famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix. Admittedly, they were separated by two centuries. While Handel lived during the 18th century in London at 25 Brook Street, Hendrix lived during the 20th century at 23 Brook Street. They were both legendary musicians who had major influences on music during their respective eras. Hendrix has been hailed as one of the most outstanding electric guitarists of all time while Handel is believed to be one of the best composers of the baroque era. Let’s not even talk about their surnames (Handel and Hendrix) which sound alike!
