5 Nigerian Female Celebrities That Continue To Prove Black is Beautiful

In a world where the black skin is deeply underrated, we have been blessed with queens who have decided on promoting their brown skin and taking good care of. Just yesterday, BBNaIja housemate Cee-C slammed a follower who accused her of bleaching, a claim Cee-C immediately blasted, making sure to let everyone know she does not bleach her skin.

Without further ado, here are 5 Nigerian female celebrities who have steered clear of bleaching their skin.

Genevieve Nnaji

The veteran actress who for years have gotten many wondering if she ages is one of the many celebrities who refused to bleach their skin, instead, take care of the brown skin and glow. The actress in an interview shared her secret beauty tip with women saying; “Something I would recommend for any woman is whenever you have the opportunity, let your skin breath. We need oxygen and air on the naked skin. Maybe it’s because I have a career in acting, I appear on TV, in films and in adverts so we tend to wear makeup quite often. I find that when I don’t need to wear makeup, I let my skin breath. I cleanse, tone, moisturise, and let my skin breath. If you are going to the gym or going to the market, you don’t need to wear make-up. The skin in it’s natural state heals itself and gets the opportunity to rejuvenate itself.’

The Nollywood actress just produced a documentary called ‘skin’ where she talked about the brown skin and just how hard some find it hard to get roles in the industry because they refused to bleach their skin. In her words; ”As a person, I need to impact on people. I grew up in a very difficult situation. I was bullied and mocked for my skin. “The same problem is trending and I have to contribute my best to stop it.” The stunning actress continued saying; “I interviewed about 30 people, including Bobrisky, for this project and I had the opportunity to travel to my home town, Delta, for the first time. I aim at being Nigeria’s prolific documentary expert.”

One of the top female acts in the country has stayed true to her brown skin for many years. The mom of one in an Instagram post sometime last year revealed it took her so long to love her brown skin but finally did.  “It has taken me a long time to love my brown skin and sometimes I still have to remind myself how beautiful I am because God doesn’t make mistakes #loveyourself.”

Kate Henshaw

Another veteran who for many years have flaunted her ever glowing brown skin in our faces. The fitness guru is one of the many women who continue to show us just how beautiful the brown skin is with the way she carries herself.

Stephanie Okereke-Linus

Mom of one and filmmaker, Stephanie Okereke-Linus, is one stunner. This brown skin brilliant woman has continued to show no sign of ageing with her lovely brown skin. Definitely one of my personal favorite.
