Award winning Nigerian musician, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido,had his show at the iconic O2 Arena in London. The pop star was ecstatic as the show had all tickets sold out by Saturday and he got to perform before a full capacity auditorium at the arena. This feat had added his name to the very short list of African artistes that can boast of achieving this milestone.
Although Davido is not the first Nigerian artist to sell out the O2 arena (he is only second to Wizkid), we are quite confident that he will not be the last to do so. Nigerians musicians have in recent years seen their presence and recognition in the global music scene grow at an impressive rate. - Burna Boy
Last year was indeed a superb year for ‘Gbona’ crroner, Burna Boy. His “Life on the Outside” tour show in the UK completely sold out in October. The show was held at the Brixton Academy.

One of Nigeria’s top female musicians, Yemi Alade had a sold out show at the Melkweg Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands during her European tour last year.

Arguably the ‘Queen Bee’ of the Nigerian music industry, multi talented singer Tiwa Savage had her first major UK concert in august last year. The concert which was part of her “Savage Tour” was held at the Indigo, O2 Arena in London and totally sold out days before the concert.

Nigeria’s biggest star internationally, Wizkid is not new to performing on big stages and at massive event/shows. He achieved a major feat last year May when he became the first Nigerian artist to completely sell out a concert held at the magnificent 20,000 capacity auditorium at the O2 Arena in London.

Another top Nigerian female singer, Simi capped up 2018 by having a sold out show at the O2 Islington Academy in London. The show was fully sold out and had a large overflow of fans outside the venue as the 800-seater auditorium was even too small to handle the amount of fans that came to show Simi some love on that cold November night.

Davido follows hotly in the step of fellow superstar, Wizkid, when he became the second Nigerian to hold a show at the capacity auditorium O2 Arena in London that was completely sold out on Sunday Night. He had previous sold out a show in Suriname, South America in front of 10,000 fans.
