Nigeria’s music industry has been ladened by crappy music churned out over the last decade. Certain Nigerian acts have stuck by the oath to make good music regardless however in the last two years there’s been a usurp in the music scene with it being flooded by a large number of young but really talented stars churning Out nothing but good music.
Joeboy:
Signed to Mr Eazi’s platform, “Empawa Africa” is Joeboy, an act with one of the biggest songs out of Nigeria in the last one year, “baby”, a feat strange as prior to this song, his single that had his label boss, Mr Eazi, “Faaji” barely did any numbers. Following up to “Baby” is “Beginning” a Killertunez produced bop that is fast rising sealing Joeboy’s place as a young serial hit maker.
Oxlade
A lot of minds were blown away in the ending parts of the year 2018 when Fireboy Dml alongsides oxlade came out with a single titled “Sing” a song that ascertained and cleared any doubts about the talents of these two young boys. Further on, Oxlade has kept up to par with singles like “Shugar”, “Questionnaire”, “Iyanu”, “Legend”, Melvitto owned “Wait for you” and DJ Tunez number “Causing trouble”. A song that further projected oxlade’s art of good music was “Mamiwota” alongsides Blaqbonez. Oxlade is definitely a name to watch out for.
Fireboy DML
“Oh Baby I’m getting jealous, don’t wanna see you with anybody”
YBNL signed Adedamola Adefolahan is the name on several lips after churning out timeless records such as “Ajoke”, “Sing” with oxlade, “I’ll be fine” and a few hits, “Jealous”, “What if I say” and most recently “King”.
This young hit maker attracted the attention of YBNL boss, Olamide with The amount of music he has churned out independently and the characteristic quality of these songs. Fireboy who is a graduate of English Language from OAU was known for his immense talent while he schooled in the University.
T Classic
T Classic came out with the love song ‘Nobody Fine Pass You’ and has continued to wow his fans with the music he has been churning out since then.
Buju
Energy is one song many are yet to get over till date. He has since gone on to release another song with rave of the moment Zlatan Ibile.
Other young acts one must pay attention to are Spyro, Brainee, Terri, 10 Stacks, and Hotyce. These young men are steadily climbing the ladder and we are beyond grateful for their kind of music.
