Rent a canal boat
Renting a canal boat is such a unique way to see the city and give you some of the most picture-perfect views of the canals. This is definitely recommended when you first get into the city since it helps you to get a feel for the different areas of the city.
- Rent a bike: First things, first. You need to rent a bike. When you visit Amsterdam, it will take you about two seconds to notice the number of bikes in every available space. The city streets are quite small and it’s actually easier and faster to travel by bike than any other form of transport. Travelling by bicycle is such a great way to see the city in a short time and experience it like a local.

If you want an awesome outdoor space, you can bike your way to Vondle park for some downtime. The park is super quiet and relaxing.

Okay, so you know weed is legal in Amsterdam. Well, what you might not know is stores that sell legal pot in Amsterdam are called coffee shops.
So do not get it confused when you are in Amsterdam. If you want Coffee, you go to the Cafés. Get it? So choose wisely.

Picnic by the canals
If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, you will run into cute little canals.
It is so easy to get caught up in the fast-paced movement of the city that you might forget to just take a break and relax.

Take a few moments to just walk around and sit down on the edge of the canals, watching the entire city go by or just grab a blanket and some snacks and relax by the water.

The Bloemenmarket
This is actually a floating flower market. It’s set up in such a way that the actual market is on boats, but the street-side of the market is easily accessible from the road.
You may not even notice it’s floating until after you cross the street.

Climb the Amsterdam sign
If you want a photo with no one else photo-bombing, it is highly suggested that you get there super early in the morning before all the tourists wake up.
But if you end up there around mid-afternoon, you can still get a pretty great shot and make an attempt to climb up the letters!
