Right from time, women have always been an important part of history. Although when it comes to inventions, we mostly hear the names of men. But there are several important things we use daily that were invented by women. Here are 9 important things that were invented by women.
- Modern Electric Refrigerator
Back in the days, iceboxes were used to keep food fresh and cold. These iceboxes were made of shelves packed with snow. However, a woman named Florence Parpart designed a way to pass electric through a circuit to keep a refrigerator cold. And the rest is story for the gods.

It was invented by a woman named Mary Anderson in 1902. She was issued a patent on the invention in 1903, but her invention wasn’t recognized till years later. Regardless of that fact, we are still grateful to her for thinking up the windshield wiper.
- One Handed Syringe
Believe it or not, there was a time when syringes used to give medical doctors headaches. Previous model syringes were sorta cumbersome and needed two hands to operate. This was till Letitia Mumford Geer invented the one-handed syringe in 1896.
Although her invention has been improved on over the years, we have Letitia to thank for making injections easier to give.
- Wireless Transmission
Popular actress, Hedy Lamarr wasn’t just talented on screen, she was hot upstairs too.
