6 Ways To Keep Your Home Smelling Fresh

Having a pleasant smell to come to when you enter your apartment is a lovely treat when you have spent your day in a dusty market, poorly ventilated classroom, musty restaurant or an air-conditioned office. The ability to freshen up your home with a variety of beautiful smell will give you a tremendous sense of comfort and happiness. 1. Open the Windows


No matter the amount of air-freshener you spray in your home, your home will always remain stuffy if the windows closed 24/7. Opening the window to allow in natural air most easily and efficiently way to make sure your house smells fresh. Even if there is no much wind blowing, it does make a significant difference then closing it all day long.

 

2. Air Out Damp Cloth and Mop
Bathing towel, mop, kitchen cloth and everything else that comes in contact with water, needs to be air out often to prevent foul damp smell. Allow your damp clothes to dry properly before bringing it in. Ensure you rinse your mop head after use and air it out to prevent it from having a sour smell that can quickly spread around your home.

3. Get Fresh Flowers In


Whether you buy them from the florist or you pick them yourself, adding flowers to your home does a fantastic job of job of giving it the delightful smell. Apart from making your house smell fresh, flowers also make beautiful decorations in your home. Example of such flowers includes basil, lavender, mint, etc.

 

4. Use Scented Products
If there is no florist around your vicinity, you can quickly get scented products like oil bunkers, air freshener, and scented candles. This product can easily diffuse a pleasant smell all over your home quickly.

5. Take Out the Trash


One of the most common enemy to a pleasant home smell is the trash can. The trash can is the most overlooked areas of the home since many don’t fancy cleaning and deodorizing the place where they putt their dirt. Even if the trash can is not inside your kitchen or it is outside your house, it is mandatory for you to empty often, wash it and deodorize it by sprinkling a baking soda inside it. By doing so, the stench from the trash can won’t friend its way into your home.

 

6. Clean the drains
Bathroom and Kitchen sinks can be home to clogs, mildew, mold and other nasty things that can cause awful smell in your home. With that in mind, it is essential you thoroughly clean your bathroom and kitchen sink at least twice a week. To clean the drain, pour a cup of baking soda and white vinegar down the drain. Allow the mixture to bubble for 30 minutes then rinse off with clean water.

Apart from these six tips, ensure you wash the plates before leaving your house, disinfect the refrigerator and mop the tiles or vacuum the rug thoroughly every week to give your home that warm fresh smell always.
