Early this morning, news broke that rapper Nipsey Hussle had been murdered. He was 33-years-old and was in a relationship with actress Lauren London for six years before his death on March 31.
Nipsey was murdered outside his store, Marathon Clothing, in Los Angeles on March 31. He and Lauren have 3 kids between them.
Now asides London’s high-profile relationship with Nipsey, she created a career of her own hitting the Hollywood limelight in 2006.
Here are 5 things you should know about the 34-year-old.
1. She started in music videos.
This gorgeous mom of two began her entertainment career by first appearing in music videos. Lauren appeared in music videos for artistes such as Tyrese, Ludacris, JAY-Z and Pharrell. While starring in videos as a vixen, Lauren was also working as a model and in 2017 was a spokesmodel for Sean John’s women collection. In no time, her craft was recognised and she began to get television shows and movies.
2. She has acted in several movies
Lauren hit the limelight after she appeared in an episode of Everybody Loves Chris in 2006. Not stopping, the stunning actress appeared in the movie ATL, playing T.I’s love interest. She then landed guest roles in shows such as Entourage and 90210. Lauren, from 2013-2015, was a regular actor on hit TV series, The Game and is set to appear as Vanessa King,a main character in BET’s 2019 series, Games People Play.
3. She met Nipsey on social
Their relationship panned 6 years but very little number of people know that Lauren first met Nipsey on Instagram. The pair started dating in 2013. Their love affiar started when Lauren decided on purchasing some copies of Nipsey’s mix-tape as a gift for one of The Game co-stars. After Lauren received her copies, she decided to follow Nipsey on Instagram. In no time, he slid into her DM and thus began their 6 years relationship.
4. She has dated a few celebrities
Lauren dated ace rapper Lil Wayne for years after first meeting him when she was 15 years old. The exes who have a child together, ended things in 2009 after getting back a couple of times until they finally parted ways.
5. She’s a mother
In 2009 Lauren, just a few months after she ended her relationship with Lil Wayne, he actress confirmed she was pregnant. Wayne in August of the same year, confirmed he was the father f Lauren’s then unborn baby. The pair welcomed their son Kameron, in Sept. 2009. The actress also has a child with Nipsey Hussle, a son named Kross. He was born in Aug. 2016.
