Nigerian singer Mr Eazi is one of the few artistes fast taking over the music world one continent at a time. The talented act has pretty much been in the public eye for years but we bet there are still somethings you do not know about the singer.

1. He bagged a Masters Degree from Coventry University back in 2015.
The singer in an interview talked about his journey to bagging a master’s degree from the prestigious university In his words;
“On the Journey from #AccraToLagos Daddy dint want his 1st son to Gamble too Much! He wanted to ensure I had fall backs! Daddy paid for my #MSC #CoventryUni I was hardly in class tho! Was busy somewhere in Ghana doing Galamsey & distributing Lacasera! 11th Feb!”
2. He traded in gold before stardom
The leg over crooner in an interview shared his experience as a gold trader before hitting the limelight. Eazi who was born Oluwatosin Ajibade, shared his experience as a gold trader saying;

“AccraToLagos took me to the Hinterlands of the Ashanti Region where I engaged in small scale Gold Trading with my “Galamsey” friends! Some weeks boys will easily turn over $30,000 It was a highly Profitable but Volatile Experience!! I would later Write an MsC thesis on this experience! I caught some of the best Vibez! And this was where the famous “Straw Hat” signature Began!!”
3. Mr Eaz’s first radio interview was in the UK
On his first radio interview, Mr Eazi revealed that happened back in 2013 in the UK. He said;
“My 1st Ever Radio Interview was from a Uk radio station back in 2013 after “About to blow” i was in Kumasi, Bantama, Aimee’s room when they called from London!! This show has been at the roots of my growth!! These two guys spotted me, & kept on pushing me to do music professionally!”
4. He quit a $6000 job
The Leg Over crooner in one interview revealed how he left a high paying job for music. According to him, he got a job with an oil and gas firm in Port-Harcourt but left the job.
“After I came back from Ghana, I got a job in oil and gas in Port Harcourt that paid about six thousand dollars per month but I quit because I was not finding fulfillment in it. I mean it was the same thing everyday, the same routine over and over again.
“The decision to quit the job finally hit me when my boss’ wife left him even with all the money he had.
“After I left my job, I got my Masters degree and with all that qualification, I started selling phones in computer village and everyone thought something was wrong with me.
“Even my mother started praying special prayers for me but my father didn’t add that final voice that would have decided my fate.
‘My break finally came after I got an invite to do two shows in London that made me twelve thousand pounds which I used to shoot two videos. When I told my mother what I did with the money, she stopped talking to me for about three weeks.
“I had to move in with a friend because even my relatives didn’t want me around but everything finally changed when I went back to London for shows that fetched me really good money.”
5. Rapper Phyno is a big motivator for him
The singer has revealed a few times how rapper Phyno is a big motivator to him. In his words; ” you keep motivating me to do more! God Bless.”
