Chika Ike

Nollywood actress Chika Ike has over the years garnered major fans across the globe with her acting skills and has continued to win in life. Chika who was married for 5 years to Tony Eberiri before her divorce in  2013 opened up on what could have led to the end of her marriage.

In her words;

“I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH SO MANY REASONS; ONE OF THEM MIGHT BE BEING YOUNG. SOME PEOPLE GET MARRIED THAT YOUNG AND HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE THEIR MARRIAGES WORK. BUT IF YOU’RE YOUNG, YOU’RE YOUNG.”

The actress is also a graduate of Harvard Business School and has gone on to release a book and has continued to win both in her personal life and career.

Funke Akindele

This veteran is one of the many who has continued to make millions across the globe happy with her talent and production. Actress Funke Akindele was married to Kehinde Oloyede for a short while before the marriage ended.

In 2013, the Jenifa’s Diary actress and producer ended her barely a year old marriage. In an interview, Funke revealed the cause of the marriage ending saying;

“I WAS ABUSED EMOTIONALLY AND VERBALLY. REALLY, I FELT WE COULD WORK THINGS OUT WHEN THE TROUBLE STARTED TWO MONTHS AFTER THE MARRIAGE, BUT I MADE UP MY MIND AND SHUT THE DOOR OF THE MARRIAGE AT HIM WHEN THE TROUBLE WAS COMING TO ME TOO MUCH..

Funke continued to win in her career and in her personal life as in 2017, she tied the knot with music producer and rapper JJC Skillz. They welcomed their twins a few months ago.

Stephanie Linus

Stephanie Linus was married to an ex-Nigerian footballer,Chikelue Iloanusi, ut the marriage ended in no time. The stunning actress and producer then went on to date Linus Idahosa, whom she finally married in a destination wedding.

Speaking on their marriage, Stephanie said;

“MARRIAGE HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME AND IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY. I AM HAPPY THAT I AM WITH SOMEONE I LOVE AND WE ARE BOTH EXCITED TO BE SHARING THE REST OF OUR LIVES WITH EACH OTHER. I HAVE NO REGRETS ABOUT GETTING MARRIED AT THE TIME I DID AS I BELIEVE THAT GOD’S TIME IS THE BEST.”

Stephanie and Linus tied the knot in Paris in 2012 and welcomed a son in 2016. She has since gone on to produce groundbreaking movies, to include award-winning movie DRY which dealt with the menace of child marriage in the country.

Ini Edo

Nollywood actress Ini Edo tied the knot with  Philip Ehiagwina in 2008 but the marriage ended in 2014 after which Ini went on to purchase a huge choice property in Lekki, Lagos.

O the end of her marriage, the actress said;

“I TRY NOT TO REGRET (THE TIME I SPENT IN MARRIAGE) BUT I WILL SAY, IT’S BEEN AN EXPERIENCE I HAVE LEARNT A LOT FROM. IT MADE ME A STRONGER PERSON. IT MADE ME WISER AND I THINK IT ACTUALLY MADE ME MORE MATURE.

Ini went on to purchase a G-Wagon, opened a night club in Lekki. Not stopping there, the actress was appointed a Special Adviser on Tourism to Akwa Ibom state governor. She has continued to win ever since.

Stella Damasus

Following the death of her husband Jaiye Aboderin in 2005, this Nollywood veteran decided to give love a try again and tied the knot with Emeka Nzeribe in 2007. The marriage, however, ended nine months later. The actress later married actor and movie producer Daniel Ademinokan. The couple now lives happily in the United States and have continued to work on many productions together.
