Eat healthy:
In the rainy season, the body is most prone to diseases and infections and it is very important to pay attention to what goes into the body. These diseases are mostly water-borne, hence the need to pay attention to the water you drink. In addition to this, it is important to eat healthy so as to boost your immune system. A strong immune system will ensure that you are not susceptible to any of the diseases common during this season.
Avoid walking in the rain:
Although playing in the rain as children was a fun thing to do amongst other activities, it still comes with several health risks. Whenever you get caught up in the rain, endeavour to use an umbrella, wear a coat, or run under the nearest shade to avoid been beaten by the rain. Remember, staying under the rain can lead to colds, fevers and even more serious conditions like pneumonia.
Keep an Umbrella handy:
Ever witnessed a downpour that didn’t give signs before dropping, the rains can start at any time and that’s why an umbrella comes in handy during the wet season. An umbrella is a must have to avoid getting beaten by the rains.
Keep Your Surroundings Clean
When rain falls, it collects inside containers scattered around the house. This results in stagnant water which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes especially the Anopheles mosquitoes that causes malaria. If such containers are littered around your house, get rid of them to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.

Stay Warm
As much as we love to enjoy the cool weather during the rainy season, it is important to keep warm to avoid catching a cold. You can keep by regulating the temperature in your home and make use of either a pair of sweater, socks or cup of tea.
Fumigate
Besides mosquitoes, the rainy season can attract dangerous animals such as snakes. As a result, it is important to fumigate or spray your surroundings in order to drive or kill such animals. You should fumigate your home at least every other months to keep pests away.
