The books, as well as the movies sold in large numbers, and this can be credited chiefly to JK Rowling’s ability to create magical worlds and take the reader through dreamland.

This one is still fresh in our minds. Game of Thrones, the movie adapted from the book by George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire, is currently the most popular Television show among movie viewers. This all boils down to George R.R Martin’s way with words and an interesting depiction of medieval times which you don’t just come across in any literary work. Game of Thrones remains the only movie adaptation of the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
