Arguably the number one micro blogging platform in the world, Twitter is one of the most used social media platform globally. With the insanely cool twitter features, this platform has become the home to several bodies and individuals worldwide.
In its bid to make the platform more user friendly and enjoyable, Twitter had announced, five months ago, that it would be bringing on some exciting new feature that will provide massive conversational improvements for its users.
While we are still waiting for those improvements, including maybe the ability to edit already sent tweets, let’s take a look a 4 really cool twitter features that are already available on the platform.
- Night Mode
Twitter has a dark blue Night Mode which is a lot easier on the eyes than its regular, bright-colored theme. This mode can be enabled by clicking your profile photo (on the right-hand side of the bar at the top of the screen) and selecting Night Mode. For Android and iOS users, you need to tap your profile picture at the top of the screen and tap Night Mode.
- Tweet Alerts
Just in case you are looking forward to the tweets of certain individual, this feature is for you. Twitter gives you the ability to set up alerts that let you know whenever a certain account tweets, but the process has two stages. First, on your app, go to Settings, then to Notifications, Push Notifications, Tweets and switch the toggle button on. After that then you open the profile page of the account you want to receive notifications from, tap the Bell icon next to the Following button and choose between All Tweets, Only Live Video and Off.
- Lists
This is one feature that many people do not know this exist. A Twitter list is simply a way of arranging the people whose tweets you want to see in an organized way. The sweetest part is that don’t have to follow the people you add to the list. You can add or remove as many people as you like on the list and also make as many lists as you want.
- Data Saving
Are you tired of seeing all your data get zapped up due to the several videos and pictures on your TL? Then you’d love this twitter feature. It allows you to manage your data by disabling the image preview, and setting video downloads to WiFi only. There is hope for the common man!!! Lol.
These 4 cool twitter features make the platform even more enjoyable to use. That’s minus all the action that goes down on Twitter. With its new update coming soon, let’s hope that we would see an even more amazing set of new twitter features.
