10 Things you Should Know About Yvonne Jegede

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede is one of the few entertainers who have remained relevant since hitting the limelight many years ago.

She hit our screens as a video vixen in 2Face’s African Queen.

Here are 10 things you should know about her.

1. She was born in Edo State on the 25h of August 1983.

2. Yvonne attended primary and secondary in Lagos state. She bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Cyprus.

3. Yvonne bagged her first-ever movie role in 2004 in the movie Missing Angel.

4. In 2005, she again hit the limelight after appearing in Tuface’s African Queen video alongside the singer’s now-wife, Annie Idibia.

5. After her university ediucation, Yvonne returned to Nollywood and acted in the movies; Okafor’s Law, Single and Married, 10 Days in Sun City among others.

6. In 2015, she produced her first movie; 3 is Company.

7. She tied the knot with rapper and actor Abounce in 2017

8. In 2018, she welcomed her first child.

9. In 2019, Yvonne announced that she is no longer with her husband but added that she does not regret marrying him.

“I do not regret my marriage to him. I have never regretted anything in my life. Every experience is something to learn from. There really is nothing for me to sit down and wish I didn’t do or should have done. Yes, I reverted to my original name on social media, but I am fine. Don’t I look alright?”
