Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie who was born on 7 March 1947 in Enugu State, Nigeria, hit the limelight following his leading role as Okonkwo in NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.

1. He was born on 7 March 1947 in Enugu State, Nigeria.
2. Pete Edochie had his primary and secondary education in Zaria, Kaduna State of Nigeria.
3. He studied Journalism and Television in the School of Journalism and Television in England.
4. The veteran actor made his acting debut in the1980s with his lead role as Okonkwo in an NTA adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s novel Things Fall Apart.
5. He is Catholic by faith and married with six beautiful children.
6. At the age of 20, he was made junior programmes assistant before being promoted to the level of a director.
