Nigerian musician, Orezi needs little or no introduction in the music world. The singer was born Esegine Allen on 28 March 1986 in Delta State, Nigeria. Orezi is also the first of five children and broke into the Nigerian entertainment scene in 2013 after the release of his hit single titled “Rihanna.”

1. His real name is Esegine Allen. He was born on 28 March 1986 in Delta State, Nigeria and is the first of five children. He was also brought up in Ibadan before his parets moved to Lagos.
I was born in Ibadan but my parents moved to Lagos when I was three years old. I had my elementary education in Lagos before proceeding to Command Secondary School in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. For my higher education, I attended the University of Lagos.
2. Orezi attended the Command Secondary School in Abakaliki.

3. He bagged a degree from the University of Lagos.
4. His first record is titled “I No Fit Lie”.
5. He almost became a dropout because of music.
It was very hard for me to concentrate in school and I usually missed lectures. All I wanted to do was to go to the studio and every show in Lagos. Anywhere D’banj or Tubaba was performing, you would see me there. Then, I would come back to the hostel very late at night or early in the morning, which made me too weak to attend lectures. In fact, it affected my grade at 400 level but I thank God I eventually graduated.
6. He has worked with top acts like Davido, Ice Prince, M.I Abaga, Danagog, Wizkid and Timaya to mention a few.
7. He hit the limelight after the release of his song “Rihanna” in 2013.
8. Orezi won the Best New Act award at the 2013 UNILAG Awards and also the Best Club Banger award at the 2013 Abuja Meritorious Music Awards.
9. Orezi has snagged many other awards to include the ‘Best New Act of the Year category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards and also or the Dancehall/Raggae Act of the Year category at the 2014 City People Entertainment Awards.’
10. He was formerly signed to Sprisal Entertainment and Culbeed Music before leaving to launch his own label called ‘Ghen Ghen Music’ in 2018.
