This Nollywood queen is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent women in the movie world. Vieve as she fondly called has a good command of English. Despite not having a university degree, Genevieve is, in fact, one of the richest actors in the country.

2. Wizkid

Starboy Wizkid is also one celebrity without a university degree. The multi-award winning singer dropped out of Lead City University while in his second year to concentrate on his music. He is one of the biggest acts in the whole of Africa today.

3. D’banj

D’banj dropped out of school in his 3rd year while studying Mechanical Engineering. He met Don Jazzy in the Kin 2001 and the two went on to create a powerful brand.

4. Ramsey Nouah

After attending Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School, this ace actor went on to bag a diploma at the University of Lagos, before going on to create his acting career. Ramsey, in interviews, has stated he never got a university degree but that did not stop him from building a highly successful career.

5. Tuface Idibia

Iconic Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia attended Saint Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi, Benue State before joining the Institute of Management & Technology, Enugu (IMT), but dropped out to pursue his music career. Tuface has since been honoured with several honorary degrees for his contribution to music in the country.

6. Mercy Johnson:

The popular Nollywood actress is in fact one of the highest paid actresses in the Nigerian movie world. Mercy however never went to college and has revealed in interviews that she joined the Nigerian movie industry because she failed the university entrance exams (JAMB) several times.

Talented singer Ajibogun Adigun Alapomeji aka 9ice was studying law at the Lagos State University but dropped out at some point to pursue his music career.

8. Don Jazzy

Prolific songwriter, music producer and C.E.O of Mavin Records is also one of the celebrities in the country to have dropped out of the university. Jazzy dropped out of Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma in his first year.

After his secondary school education, Timaya decided against a university education so he could pay full attention to his music carer. It has paid off today.
