Writing your goals, objectives and to-do list down helps to reduce stress and confusion. It goes a long way to clarify situations and provides less things to commit to memory.

Okay, so I mentioned above that you should think on paper. Try and maintain one system of management, so if you use a book, stick to it. If you use an electronic device, stick to it. This helps to remove time wasted in searching for what system was used.
THE POWER OF “NO”
Everyone has the same amount of time each day and one of the most effective tools in time management is knowing when to say no to unnecessary or inappropriate requests that in no way have any lasting effect on your overall goals.
LISTENING IS KEY
This applies especially to students and working-class individuals. Listening to get the exact information needed to carryout specific tasks very important as not to waste time doing the complete opposite. Listen and acknowledge to ensure you understand the task before setting out.

When people tend to chatter and talk on and on and on, it’s good to cut the conversation short to continue with the tasks ahead. Politely say “one last thing before I go”, this quickly pulls the person into reality.
OFFBEAT TIMING
As silly as it may sound, it has proved effective to set offbeat times in other to maximize your time. So instead of setting your alarm to 5:45 am why not try 5:37 am so that the remaining 8 minutes will used to really get your head straight.
COMPLETE THE IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST
It is always better to prioritize your objectives, in the order of importance so as to quickly attend to pressing issues first and working your way down to the least important. This not only feels better, but will ease you from any stress and confusion along the way.
