-
Matching Colors Incorrectly: Excuse Me, you need to leave that to match characteristic alone. That is not how you are supposed to roll so instead, keep your colour combinations simple while you’re still learning.
-
Getting the Fit Wrong: Chai, this idea of wearing bigger clothes when you are not a rap star in the year 2000 is beyond me. Nothing disgraces an outfit more than how it fits. You could have the most stylish clothes but they won’t do you any good if they don’t compliment your frame. Too tight or loose is not the way at all. Find your fit.

Overdressing for the occasion: Inexperience sometimes can make a young male overcompensate by dressing in an extremely formal manner. The best way as regards fashion is to just ask the dress code. It’s better to be in an awkward situation than an embarrassing one.

Underdressing for the occasion: The same is applicable here in reverse. If you can’t ask for the dress code, go for the “smart casual” look, which lies somewhere in between formal and casual.
-
Letting your dress shirt flow free: If it is a Dress shirt, it should be tucked in. There is only one exception, untucking a dress shirt is universally acceptable at a formal event once everyone has indulged in a generous amount of booze.
-
Wearing the wrong jeans and dress shoe combo: Jeans and dress shoes can go together, as long as the Jeans are a dark wash and skinny fit while the shoes must be brown, preferably in the brouge style.
-
Using too many accessories: Accessories can be a great plus to your overall styling. However, wearing too many will diminish from rather than complement your look. Rather than donning all your pieces at once, go for your favourite accessory to accentuate its design.
-
Wearing the wrong socks with shoes: Although this is not quite destroying as socks and sandals, wearing any form of white socks under dress shoes is a fashion No No. Ankle socks are an obvious no-no as well.
-
Wearing ripped and stained clothes: I do not know why you want to wear ripped or stained clothes. Unless it is ripped jeans which is in vogue now. Give those torn clothes out and go for something a little more elegant.
-
Focusing on brands: Small Uncle, putting on all of the brand names at once is a fashion faux-pas’ that describes immaturity. Please stop it. Nobody is dragging you money with you.
