- Taio Cruz
This award winning British singer was born to a Nigerian father and a Brazilian mother. His birth name is actually Adetayo Adewale Onile-Ere but adopted Taio Cruz as his brand name.
- Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
This man is one of the most popular actors to come out of the country. Although he was born in the UK and brought up by white foster parents, Adewale didn’t allow his rough childhood bring him down. He has featured in so many movies and T.V series like Lost, Oz, Pompeii, Thor: A Dark World, The Bourne Identity, Suicide Squad and even Game of Thrones. According to reports, he was the original candidate for the role of Black Panther in well, Black Panther.

- Uzo Aduba
A budding and talented actress, Uzoamaka Nwanneka Aduba is best known for her role in “Orange Is the New Black”. She plays the role of Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren on the T.V series and was born to both Nigerian parents.
- Yvonne Orji
The co-star on the highly rated HBO series, Insecure, Yvonne is a talented actress. She is mostly known for her role as Molly in Insecure and started her career as a stand-up comedian. She was actually born in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria before migrating to the U.S with her parents.
- Dayo Okeniyi
Popular for his roles in the movies “The Hunger Games” and “Terminator Genisys”, Dayo is a rising superstar. He was born and raised in Lagos before moving to the U.S and kick starting his career.
- Rotimi Akinosho
Olurotimi was born in New Jersey, USA to purely Nigerian parents. He has starred in several productions including the Starz Network drama series Boss, award winning movie Divergent, Black Nativity and Imperial Dreams. He also stars in the award winning series, Power.
- Zain Asher
If you watch the news a lot, you must have stumbled upon this name. International news I mean – CNN to be precise. With a name like Zain Asher, most will not connect her to Nigeria, but she is Nigerian – Igbo in fact. Zain is also the younger sister of the popular actor Chiwetel Ejiofor. She isn’t an actress though. She works as a news anchor at CNN International.
- David Oyelowo
I absolutely love this guy. He has starred in movies like the Butler, Concussion, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Small island, Lincoln and Queen of Katwe, amongst others. He was born in Oxford, England to Nigerian parents.

- Adetomiwa Edun
Those with very strong memory will remember this guy. He played the role of Sir Elyan in the hit TV series, Merlin. He has also featured in other big time series like Lucifer and Legends. He is also the persona of Alex Hunter in FIFA17, FIFA18 and they retained him for FIFA19 too. He was born in Lagos to a Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother.

If you watched the famous CW Drama Series, The Originals closely, then you’d remember this Nigerian beauty. She played the role of Aya Al-Rashid, and also played the role of Lydia Hall in Quantico. You remember her now right?
