Chris Hemsworth is best known for playing Thor. He is also one of the most desirable men on the planet thanks to his good looks and charm. Before he landed his role as Thor, he was an upcoming actor in the industry acting in films like Star Trek and Home and Away. Today, he has an impressive resume and has a big career ahead of him.
From his humble nature to how much he loves adventure, here are some interesting facts about the Australian actor.
1. Chris Hemsworth is the middle child of his family. He has two brothers, Luke and Liam, who are also into acting. Luke, who is the eldest, was the first one to land an acting career while Liam, the youngest brother and Miley Cyrus’s ex-husband, had his big break in The Hunger Games franchise and romantic films such as The Last Song. None of their parents were actors so this makes their foray into acting nothing short of impressive.
2. Although he may never have won an Oscar or an Emmy, Hemsworth has the coveted title of “Sexiest Man Alive”. He received the award in 2014 at the age of 31.
3. He is married to Elsa Pataky who is a model Spanish model, actress, and film producer. She is most famous for her role as Elena Neves in Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. Together, they have three children; India Rose and twins Sasha and Tristan.

9. Hemsworth has admitted that he thought he career was debatable before his role as Thor. He told the Press Association:
“For sure, my career was debatable and I didn’t know if it was going to continue.
“I was sort of scratching around, little bits and pieces, and this kicked off everything and opened up every door.
“Everything I’ve done outside of this has been in the shadow of this massive enterprise, or whatever you want to call it.
“But it’s also 10 years of my life, and so, whether it was work or not, it’s such a huge chunk of anyone’s existence.”
He added: “We all grew up on this film, kind of like the audiences have.
“I got married, I had kids, it was kind of like going through high school or something, and by this point in particular there is a very nostalgic, bittersweet quality to it because it’s potentially the last time we are all going to gather like this.
“I don’t think we will ever have another experience like this in any of our careers and I’m not sure even in the industry there will be another experience like this.
“Each film had to work in order for the next one to work, in order for this to happen, so I constantly pinch myself and go ‘Oh my god, how did I land this?’ and (think) how special it was.”
10. Chris and his brother Liam were both considered for the role of Thor. When director Drew Goddard and writer Joss Whedon were reviewing the top five choices for the God of Thunder, they discovered that Liam was one of the contenders and immediately knew Chris was also perfect fit for the role.
