While many are about getting married, there are a few stars who prefer not to be tied down and have made this known.
Here are 10 celebrities who have decided against marriage.
Eva Mendes
Hollywood actress Eva who is the mother to Esmeralda and Amada Gosling, is not looking to tie the knot with her partner Ryan Gosling. According to her, she feels not getting married is sexier. In an interview with Chelsea Handler in 2011, Eva stated that; “I actually think it’s really sexy to be with someone in your fifties and sixties and be like, ‘That’s my boyfriend. I think husband and wife is just…very unsexy.”
Scott Disick
Scott was in a long term relationship with Kourtney Kardashian and the exes have 3 kids between them. Scott has since moved on but still isn’t married. On ever getting married? Scott is quoted as saying; “I think if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. You know what I mean? I would say we’re decently happy. I feel like I used to want to get married more than she did, and then, being that she was always so not interested, I’ve decided not to be,” Disick told Ryan Seacrest in 2013.
Kristin Davis
Davis in an interview where she was asked about dreaming abiout her own wedding responded saying; “I never was [interested], even as a kid. Little girls who say, ‘I want to get married’—I was never one of those little girls. It is not that I wouldn’t, but I don’t see that I must do it or be unhappy. I’m perfectly happy (with) my single self right now.”

Chelsea Handler
The comic and show host is not really sure that marriage will ever be for her. In 2012, Handler said; “I’ve never been proposed to, and I don’t know that that’s in my future. I don’t know that I’m marriage material. I don’t know if I would ever want to be someone’s wife. It makes breaking up much more complicated.”
Sarah Silverman
Comedian and actress Sarah Silverman has been in a relationship with her partner, actor Michael Sheen, for a while and prefers not to tie the knot. The actress while addressing a false statement about herself in the tabloids, tweeted that”Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married. Why would I want the gov’t involved in my love life? Ew. It’s barbaric.”
Leonardo DiCaprio
Speaking on marriage, the actor told Parade that;. “That time will come when that time comes. The truth is, you can’t predict marriage. You can’t plan it. It’s just going to happen when it happens”
Charlize Theron
Charlize, is one of the many celebrities who does not believe in tying the knot. According to her; “Marriage was never something that was important to me. I don’t know the exact reason for that. I really want for myself a long-term relationship and I have been in long-term relationships…That’s the kind of union that I want. The actual ceremony is not something that is important to me—but I see the importance for other people.”
Kourtney Kardashian
The oldest Kardashian sister and mother of three who was in a long term reelationship with the father of her children Scott Disick, told Jimmy Kimmel in 2012 that; “First of all, I have realized that I have major commitment problems during this pregnancy. I’m really claustrophobic, and all my issues—and I have a lot of them—they all stem from this thing. I can’t commit to anything.”
Oprah Winfrey
In 2013, Oprah spoke with Access Hollywood about her status with longterm partner Stedman Graham, who she has been with since 1986/ “If you ever interviewed him, he would tell you that had we married, we would not be together today. Because he’s a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship. And I think it’s acceptable as a relationship, but if I had the title ‘wife,’ I think there would be other expectations for what a wife is and what a wife does.”
Naomi Watts
In 2012, the actress spoke about her ten-year relationship with actor Liev Schreiber, who is also the father of her two children: “We’re very much together. We just don’t have that certificate, and that’s okay with both of us,” she shared. “Maybe one day, we’ll just wake up and go ‘Hey, let’s do this.’ And maybe not.”
