While we have many actors who have played so many roles in movies not so many have played superheroes.
Here are 10 actresses who have played superheroes in movies.
The actress played the role of the Invisible Woman in the 2005 film Fantastic Four.
Scarlett played Black Widow in The Avengers and other Marvel films. In an interview, Johansson opened up on how the characters in the movie have grown over the years.
In her words;
“These characters have grappled with their past, and they have grappled with their destiny, and I think we’ve seen them over these past 10 years sort of come into their own as fully realized people with all of their flaws — and have an acceptance of their flaws and actually come to see them as strengths,” she said. “And I think that’s probably reflective of a lot of journeys we’ve all had in the past.”
“I mean just having ten years of time and growing and having ups and downs in our lives and sharing our lives with one another has been a real pillar of strength in all kinds of crazy times,” Johansson continued. “I think that’s what the audience also reacts to is that the characters have grown in a way that feels reflective of their own experience.”
Berry played the role of Storm in the X-Men movies and in the movie Catwoman.
Jennifer Lawrence played the role of Mystique in many X-Men films.
Jennifer Garner played Elektra Natchios in Daredevil and Elektra.
The actress played Batgirl in Batman & Robin released in 1991.
Anna played Rogue in so many X-Men films.
Famke Janssen played Jean Grey in several X-Men films. Speaking on the role, Janssen said;
“I’m just happy that Dark Phoenix got her own movie because she deserves it. And it’s a really powerful and very important story in the comics, that in ‘The Last Stand’ we just touched upon the tiniest part of. It was something that needed to be told as a full-blown film and now that’s happening. And it’s wonderful.”
Rebecca played Mystique in several X-Men films. Speaking on having to be pained blue for the movie, Rebecca in an interview said;
“Blue paint on everything, including every time I had to go use the loo, blue toilet seats. Everybody knew when I had to go use the bathroom because there was a blue toilet seat.”
She played Silk Spectre II in the 2009 film Watchmen. Speaking on the movie in an interview, Malin said;
It was so beyond my expectations. I was breathless for the rest of the day. I’ve never actually felt like this because, most of the time when you shoot a film, you know what it’s going to look like. But this was great because it was such a surprise. You got to see [director] Zack [Snyder’s] vision, everything he’d been imagining in his head. This guy is unbelievable. Watchmen is the thing I’m most proud of in my career, to date.
